The Nano-Stock site evolved over a period of months--changing
from a simple informational site, to a fully interactive site where
customers receive up-to-the-minute trading alerts, real-time stock quotes,
market news, and a myriad of other information options. The site also
includes a simple bookstore, and a user-friendly interface through which
the business owner can track customer billing, email customers, post
personalized messages to customers, and track web traffic through the
site.
What
does the client have to say about the process? "Nano-Stock.com
is a major project and one in which the stakes are high. I have 27,000
paying customers who will be using the site on a daily basis. I've
been so pleased with Mr. Heffron's work in developing the project, that
I am going to hire him to create several additional websites for my
other businesses."

Owner Steve Knowlton wanted to start small and
expand the site along with his business. First, we created a simple
catalog of products and prices. Immediately, the site began to attact
visitors. Over time, the visuals have become more exciting and important--clients
who like slick cars also expect a slick site. Along these lines, we've
begun to add animation and a more sophisticated look to the catalog
pages. Recently, we've added a fully-functioning,
secure ecommerce purchasing system for his customers, so that
they can buy from SK Performance 24 hours a day.

Joseph Carlson, business owner and craftsman, wanted
a site that was simple, clean and attractive. At a minimum of cost,
we put together an informational site which he could refer potential
clients to. In four pages, we included a portfolio of his work, a profile
of his experience, and a form for potential clients to request a bid.

Vending Click

B&P Vending needed a straighforward
informational site to display their products and services. Together,
we worked within a tight budget to create a site which is clean, quick
to load, and easy for users to navigate through.
Evergreen
AIDS Foundation Art Auction
Evergreen AIDS Foundation asked if I could
create an on-line art auction for their yearly benefit. The auction
allowed users to make bids on pieces from many fine Northwest artists.
The auction stored credit card and personal information in a secure
server--safely away from potential hackers--as well as tracking the
bids of all the users.

Corporation Click

ChemCon Corporation wanted to start small
and expand over time. Midline Design built them a clean, minimalistic
site to show off their operations for investors. While still under development,
the site will continue to work for them as they build and grow.

Midline Design
for your web needs: ~
I've been a graphic designer for over seven years.
I have a keen eye and the artistic skills that many computer-savvy people
do not. Many web designers today are strong on WEB, but weak on DESIGN.
Remember--if your site looks unprofessional, is disorganized, or isn't
tuned to your overall mission, it doesn't matter if it's a masterpiece
of technical virtuosity.
Many
web designers today are strong on WEB,
but weak on DESIGN.
~
I've been
an avid user of the Web since 1994.
Since before Netscape Navigator. Since before Internet Explorer. I've
seen thousands of websites and know, as a user, what works, what doesn't,
what takes forever to load, what looks good on different systems. I've
driven the backroads of the information superhighway and know my way
around.
~
Look over
my website. I think
it works cleanly, sends a clear message, and is visually appealing.
If you like what you see, you'll like my work.
